As the iPhone celebrates its 15th birthday this week, it remains one of the most popular smartphones in the world with a huge and notoriously loyal fanbase. Apple is famous for its tightly-knit ecosystem of devices and services, and once a user has stepped into the company’s walled garden, it’s hard to turn back.
According to figures from Statista’s Global Consumer Survey, iPhone users in the United States are both happy and loyal, leaving every other brand behind in both respects. Looking at customer satisfaction, 64 percent of iPhone users said they were very satisfied with their current device while another 29 percent said they were satisfied. Apple’s largest competitor Samsung was also the brand coming closest to Apple’s customer satisfaction with 58 and 33 percent of Samsung users saying they were very satisfied or satisfied with their current phone.
Looking at brand loyalty, Apple also gets the highest marks, with 48 percent of surveyed iPhone users saying its unlikely they’d change brands versus 35 percent who said they’d likely change brands on the next possible occasion.
