Donald Trump's presidential approval rating stood at only 45 percent after 100 days in office, the lowest among recent presidents. The only lower score listed by Gallup was achieved by Trump in his first term. Then, his approval was only at 41 percent after 100 days. In comparison, Joe Biden - also considered a rather unpopular U.S. president - scores higher, at least in Gallup's survey.

In Trump's second "first" 100 days in office, which ended April 29, he has thrown the world economy in disarray by entering into force (and mostly pausing) high tariff rates on countries all around the world. He also majorly cut down U.S. government staff and spending, including aid payments overseas. However, the downsizing has become a matter for the courts, with final results still outstanding.

During Biden's first 100 days in office, the country's vaccination campaign against Covid-19 took off successfully, with Biden heavily incentivizing U.S. manufacturers to sell vaccine production domestically with the help of the Defense Production Act. Biden also rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement and the WHO as well as canceling the Keystone XL pipeline and border wall projects.

At the 100-day mark, Barack Obama enjoyed an approval rating of 69 percent, while Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush even had approval ratings upwards of 70 percent.
