When it comes to influencer content, four in ten Americans opt for comedy. That’s according to a survey run by Statista Consumer Insights, which asked respondents which types of content they most like to watch, listen to or follow. This was closely followed by content on music and the topic of food.
When looking at the most popular content according to gender though, there’s a total reshuffle of categories. While comedy retains top place for both, adult content was the second most frequently picked option among male respondents (38 percent), slightly ahead of music (35 percent) and cars/vehicles content (35 percent), followed by sports (32 percent). For females, the top five roundup includes comedy alongside music (both 41 percent), food content (36 percent), shopping/ product reviews (31 percent) and advice & self-help content (30 percent). Only 10 percent of respondents said that they do not take in any content from influencers and content creators.
